Comments: Historic recording of the first time Steinman worked with Meat Loaf in this musical set in a US Army camp during the Vietnam War. Sounds like this is from a live performance rather than demos as there's clearly an audience there. Sound is good, mono quality, but with some crackles. which, given it has been compressed down to 32kbps is remarkable. Line Up: Fred Gwynne as Major Michael Dillon, Meat Loaf as Perrine / Rabbit, Kimberley Farr as Fiona Markham, Leata Galloway as Nurse / Nin Hua, Marybeth Hurt as Nurse / Uncle Remus, Stephen Collins as Nathan / Herbie / Pilot, Grahan Jarvis as Dr. Smith / Sergeant Price, Seth Allen as Luke / Lance Moriarty, Larry Marshall as Mike / Brown / Gerald Moore, Kim Milford as Wiley / Trout , Tom Leo as Owlsy / Joe, Edward Zang as Costucci/Lt. Picture and sound are both perfect. as are the performances. The show is performed on stage with the actors, in costume, performing wearing head mikes, without large scenery but with props and movement, in front of and occasionally in between and around the on stage orchestra and choir. 116 mins Comments: Although pro shot this is a low budget production with a single camera filming from from either end of the balcony but this does manage to capture everything that happens There is, however, very limited switching between the two, suggesting that this may have been filmed on different nights by the same person. and explaining why the sound can appear, very, very slightly out of sync on occasion. The staging is somewhat limited but the cast are very good and make the most of the material which comes across very professional The sound is very good, and clearly soundboard, even if in mono as it picks up the stage front band very well, as well as the audience not to mention the very good voices of the cast via their head microphones. Menu/s Comments: Single camera filming from up near the back of the top balcony, towards the left side of the stage. The filming angle is fairly steep and due to this there are some heads in shot - plus the occasional person walking passed - plus some eight minutes of black screen, mostly at the start of Act 1, but the quality of the footage is very good with some great close ups. Sounds is very good throughout. Chapters, 70+49mins Comments: Single camera filming from the balcony, to the right of stage. Far left of stage is out of shot. Mostly clear video. Blacked out during most of the initial school scenes due to late comers taking their seats. Sound good and clear. Most of the show comes from one performance, but with the finale from another due to security issues with a slight more obscure angle. There is some role back between the two. Curtain calls are blacked out. 88 mins Comments: Single camera filming from the right balcony. Picture is therefore slightly side on but with some decent close ups although some wash out from the bright lights. Sound is very good. There does appear to be some slight edits here and there however. although it's impossible to know if anything much is missing as I don't know the show well enough but apparent includes several songs that didn't make the Broadway production. Line Up: David Shiner as the Cat in the Hat, Kevin Chamberlin as Horton, Janine Lamanna as Gertrude McFuzz , Michele Pawk as Mayzie LaBird , Andrew Keenan-Bolger as JoJo |

Auto 5mins Comments: Single Camera pro shot of one of the final dress rehearsals for the original production in advance of the later cancelled Broadway opening that was due in April 1997. This very near complete - the camera stops during some scene changes - show a different running order, an extra character - "Aunt Dot" - and some added songs to the version that would open in London in 1998. And was watched by Andrew Lloyd Weber himself. The camera tends to film mostly in close up, so does tend to miss a little of the action as it pans around. but you do get to hear some of the conversations about how the show is progressing And off stage prompts when lines need correcting!! Comments: Single camera filming direct on to the small stage. Full stage in view at all times, no close ups. Picture is full HD, and the sound is from the camera, but great all the same although some clicking from a nearby stills camera. Small independent amateur production of the show, with great performances just a shame I can't find who was in the cast. A few minor edits but nothing major missing. Uses the original UK score with "Annie Christmas". Show is stored in four MP4 files downloaded from youtube in full HD.
