Comments: Pro shot of the Australia stadium tour of the show, which was 'in the round' with the cast on a circular rotating platform around and above the orchestra., in the centre of the auditorium. Professionally filmed with multiple cameras. Perfect vision and sound. Starts with some back stage footage and concludes with a lengthy encore followed by full credits. .

Comments: Said to be the "Holy Grail" of JSC shows, the cast list for this is something special, with two of the original artists, plus two better known for other things. Irene Cara (from the movie Fame) and Dennis De Young (from the rock band Styx.) This outstanding recording features the complete show,  although some of the tracks are titled differently from other versions.

Comments: Missing the first ("Overture") and last songs ("Crucifixion" / "John 19:41") from the shows and with some hiss throughout, this is a otherwise a pretty good soundboard recording of the show that was done either without an audience or with closed microphones as there is no audience noise at all.

Comments: Great recordings if a touch lacking in bass The audience is very enthusiastic but doesn't down out the show. which is good as it features both the original leads from the movie.

Comments: Sounds like this is a pure soundboard recording as there is no real audience noise present at all unless of course they were just quiet Some of the performances are a little over done, but otherwise good version. although Cherone's voice doesn't really work in "Gethsemane"

Comments: Multiple cameras shooting from different angles at the small stage on which all the action takes place, making this more of a rock concert than a standard musical. The show is, however, performed as if on a bigger stage, but using hand held microphones which limits the actors movements. The colour is a little washed out - possible from the venue lights and there is some tape wear evident throughout, although this main effects the very top and bottom of the picture only. Sound is very good, and probably soundboard in origin. NOTE: This DVD does not play on some stand alone players.

Comments: This is one of the best recordings of Sebastian's appearance coming out as nearly clear enough to be soundboard in places. Not only that, but this is rated as one of Sebastian's best performances Plus you also get, the great Carl Anderson,  (the original Judas on Broadway in 1971 and the movie)

Comments: Two single cameras filming from the balcony with the main one high up just off centre, and the other filming pretty much dead on but lower down. although later in the show appears to move further to the right with better lighting. However it is unclear if both were filming on the same night with most thinking that it was filmed, by the same person, on two nights and then mixed together. Most footage (around 80%) comes from the top camera which misses the very top of the stage until "Jesus Must Die" when the second camera is repositioned with a better view and the split is more even. There's a mixture of some very nice, and some quite sudden switches between the two. although the occasions when the footage from one is played over the other, is a little annoying. Sound is very good but, as it comes from one camera, does appear to leave  some of the other footage appearing to be very slightly out of A/V sync... Other than that the picture and sound quality are really rather good.

Comments: Single camera filming from the top balcony, slightly to the left of centre. Good clear view of the main stage, with some great close ups although the full stage shots do have some heads in view. Sound is near perfect. Midway through previews, the cast are settled, but the production does lack 'something' which would explain why it closed in July.
