Comments The last known bootleg of the original Lynyrd Skynyrd. It is, however raw footage, in black and white, and comes with a time code at the top of the screen and a permanent watermark "ME-26" in the centre of the screen throughout the footage, plus some source tape drop outs. However, with great sound is is still great.

Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Tour Rehearsals

Nashville Tennessee, USA

3/9/87 SB 9 CD

Comments: Sound isn't perfect as this is just a spur-of-the-moment recording the band did of themselves to see how they sounded as they relearning the material that made them famous ten years early. Also, "Free bird" appears to have a break of some sort in it as if the tape had to be turned over but the energy is all there.

Track Listing: Workin' For MCA, I Ain't The One, I Know A Little, Gimme Three Steps (Take 1), Gimme Three Steps (Take 2), Gimme Three Steps (Take 3), That Smell (Take 1), Sweet Home Alabama, That Smell (Take 2), You Got That Right, When You Got Good Friends (Take 1, Instrumental),  When You Got Good Friends (Take 2, Instrumental), When You Got Good Friends (Take 1, Vocals), The Needle and The Spoon, Swamp Music, Freebird

Lynyrd Skynyrd Hamburg 92 Sporthalle, Hamburg 15/2/92 Pro 10* DVD

Tech: PAL, Full screen / 4:3, Audio 1 (SB) : 2 channel, (Title 1) Audio 2 (Cam) : 2 Channel, (Title 2) Audio 2 (AU): 2 Channel, 107 minutes, Authored, Menu / Title -  Chapters

Comments: Single camera pro shoot from the back on Billy's side of the stage, although this does mean that Billy is rarely seen. The author of his has taken the original footage, and spliced in the soundboard audio from Lynyrd Skynyrd - You Got That Right However, because that boot was edited he has left in any missing sections, from the original audio, or in the case of the second title (where the audio was missing) he's used an audience recording. This only really effects the Johnny's spoken intros between songs and Dale's speech which weren't included on the audio boot although you can choose the to listen to the original audio if you wish. Visual quality on the second title is also slightly less due to problems with the source VHS but it is still better than most shows you will see This is why "Call Me the Breeze" fades as the original tape breaks up. Finally, as a bonus, is the complete "Unreleased KBFH" show audio.

Track Listing: Title One  Smokestack Lightning, I Know a Little, Saturday Night Special, You Got That Right, What's Your Name, Keep The Faith, Good Thing, Simple Man, Ballad of Curtis Lowe, I've Seen Enough, That Smell, Gimme Three Steps, Call Me the Breeze (cut), Intermission, Title Two: Call Me the Breeze (full), Backstreets Crawler, Sweet Home Alabama, Dale Krantz Rossington Speech, Free Bird Bonus Extra (Audio with Photos): Unreleased KBFH Show Cardiff, Wales, UK - 6/11/75: Double Trouble, I Ain't The One, The Needle and The Spoon, Saturday Night Special, Gimme Three Steps, I Got The Same Old Blues, Simple Man, Whiskey Rock A Roller, Call Me The Breeze, T For Texas, Sweet Home Alabama, Freebird

Comments Excellent recording of the TV special Skynyrd did with a band following in their footsteps All songs are full performances of both bands together  Tracks titled "Extra" are from the interludes between the songs of the bands talking or playing bits of songs acoustically. extracts from Skynyrd classics acoustically All the adverts have, of course been removed apart from one for Skynyrd then current releases.

Comments:
Lynyrd Skynyrd are inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame all the surviving members turned up to play and accept their awards Their speeches are neatly inserted between the music. as they perform in front of, amongst others, Metallica. with the final words coming from Ronnie's Widow.  Picture isn't quite as sharp as it could be and there's a bad edit before the final chapter but these are pretty much the only faults with this emotional performance, other than its so short.

Comments:
Brilliant transfer of the TV special, will all adverts removed, and the interviews, which were originally scattered between the music, compiled  and moved to the end of disc 2. Quality is perfect throughout, with a great booming stereo sound track as Skynyrd run through a selection of their songs, and bring on guests to perform a Skynyrd song with them and then do one of their own with the band backing them,
Guests: Bo Bice - Vocals (#), Hank Williams Jr. - Vocals / Guitar (*), 3 Doors Down (+)

Comments Great picture and full stereo sound throughout The gaps where the adverts had been could have been edited a little tighter (thus removing the VJ's prattle) but other than that, this is near perfect.
