Comments: First night of the legendary blues tour as partly featured on the official "24 Nights" DVD Even the DJ explaining what's happening doesn't detract from the brilliance of this show. From EC calling out cord changes to RC stepping in seamlessly when BG breaks a string in the middle of "Five Long Years" The stereo mix is even so good you can  actually tell who is playing which solo or riff...

Line Up: Eric Clapton - Guitar / Vocals [centre], Robert Cray - Guitar / Vocals [right], Buddy Guy - Guitar/ Vocals [left], Johnie Johnson - Keyboards

Comments:
Near perfect sound for both acts despite a few shouters around the taper. Great sets from both ends of the blues age range. with some truly inspired playing from all three of the leads, from Buddy through Jonny, right down to 13yo Quinn. The crowd are clearly enjoying the entire show, which just adds to everything.

Taper's notes: As usual, Buddy Guy put on an amazing performance. Between his guitar work and stories it is a fun night of entertainment. The only part of his show I do not like is his walk through the audience. Everyone turns around but I can't without ruining the recording. Imagine the looks I get. At one point he was even playing on the aisle to my right with 3 empty seats between us. I continued to look forward, The highlight of the show was when Quinn Sullivan came out to play. He is amazing, and only 14. The end of the show alsp had the kid from the crowd. This 10 year old firecracker could play and sure wasn't afraid to speak his mind. Classic stuff.
