Comments First night of the tour, and it is possible Roger is miming although that could just be down to a bad sound sound mix but that doesn't stop this being an awesome show. Just a shame Set2: Dark Side of the Moon wasn't broadcast.

29/6/06 2Cam 10*  DVD

Tech: NTSC, Widescreen/ 16:9,   Dolby Digital Surround Sound / 5:1, 143 minutes, Authored

Comments Excellent two camera shoot filmed in High Definition for perfect clarity. Camera one: from the rear of the venue (a tent?) with a clear view of the entire stage Camera two: Filmed from the floor, with great close ups  However, camera #2 was 'asked to leave' during "Us and Them" and from then on this is a single camera shoot. A power serge / cut during the end of "Perfect Sense" brings an early intermission as the band leave the stage so the mixing desk can be reset.  This is better than nearly ANY official release, let along an audience one.

Line Up: Roger Waters - Bass & Vocal, Andy Fairweather-Low - Guitars & Vocal,   Snowy White - Guitars, Dave Kilminster - Guitars, Graham Broad - Drums, Jon Carin - Keyboards / Guitar / Vocals, Harry Waters - Keyboards & Organ, Ian Ritchie - Saxophone, Katie Kisssoon - Backing Vocals, PP Arnold - Backing Vocals, Carol Kenyon - Backing Vocals , Guest Nick Mason - Drums [dark side.. onwards]

Roger Waters Dedicated to Sid: My Friend Piazza Napoleone Lucca, Italy 12/7/06 FM 10* CD

Comments: Outstanding broadcast from which all the DJ chatter has been removed, other than the translations over the top of Roger's introduction to "Leaving Beirut". The entire set (and this boot) but especially  "Wish you were here" is dedicated to Syd Barrett.

Tech Details: NTSC, Full screen / 4:3, Dolby Digital, 159 mins
Comments:
Taken from the in house, video cameras, the video is naturally very good although there is a lengthy section of black screen between the end of  "In The Flesh" and the very beginning of "Have A Cigar" although the sound does continue. Focus is nearly exclusively on Roger, alone, rather than the band, or projections. The sound itself is very good and clearly from some sort of on stage feed as it includes the click-track for some tracks, used so the band stay in time to the video screens plus an occasional voice counting in various aspects of the performance. This is, however the entire show, including footage of the intermission where the image of the Moon that grows progressively until "Dark Side..." begins.

Comments:
Single camera filming from the back of the hall. Totally unobstructed view, with a great balance of close ups and full stage shots so you can fully see the great effects and, of course, the wall being built during the show. The sound is every bit as clear as the video, so with both discs having been authored to a very high standard this is just about as good as bootlegs get.

Comments:
This is really quite remarkable. Two camera angles, with audio, plus two other audio recordings all edited together to make an outstanding production that give a really great view of the spectacular show "The Wall" has grown into. with particular attention given to the projections on the wall itself as it is built. There is literally nothing wrong with this.
