Meat is invited to join the cast of a new musical by one Jim Steinman.

More than You Deserve  - 1974

Original Cast More than You Deserve Unknown 1974 SB 9 MP3

Comments: Historic recording of the first time Steinman worked with Meat Loaf in this musical set in a US Army camp during the Vietnam War. Sounds like this is from a live performance rather than demos as there's clearly an audience there. Sound is good, mono quality, but with some crackles. which, given it has been compressed down to 32kbps is remarkable.

Line Up: Fred Gwynne as Major Michael Dillon, Meat Loaf as Perrine / Rabbit, Kimberley Farr as Fiona Markham, Leata Galloway as Nurse / Nin Hua, Marybeth Hurt as Nurse / Uncle Remus, Stephen Collins as Nathan / Herbie / Pilot, Grahan Jarvis as Dr. Smith / Sergeant Price, Seth Allen as Luke / Lance Moriarty, Larry Marshall as Mike / Brown / Gerald Moore, Kim Milford as Wiley / Trout , Tom Leo as Owlsy / Joe, Edward Zang as Costucci/Lt. Maddox , Justin Ross as Spooky 1 / Vietnamese, Eivie McGehee as Spooky 2 / Vietnamese/Radio Man, Terry Kiser as Melvin, Ronald Silver as General Chet Eastacre

Track Listing: Overture, Give Me the Simple Life, Could She Be the One, Where Did It Go, Come With me, Mamma You'd Better Watch Out For, Your Daughters, More than You Deserve, O, What a War, Song of teh City of Hope, To Feel So Needed, Mamma You'd Better Watch Out For Your, Daughters (reprise), Go, Go, Go Guerillas, What Became of the People We Were, If Only, Midnight Lullaby, Song of the Golden Egg, What Became of the People We Were (reprise), Give Me the Simple Life (reprise)

Meat joins the cast of a new musical which is soon made into a movie.

Comments:
Great studio concert with Meat and the band playing just for the cameras (there's no audience) so there's little talking, just great music. although that does make the 'teasing' between Meat and Patti during "Paradise..." a little strange. Taken from the Dutch TV broadcast and includes a small logo in the top right corner. Sound and picture are perfect. Bonus video comes from a US TV show and again is a live TV show performance but with an audience
Line Up: Meat Loaf - Vocals, Patti Russo - Vocals, Damon La Scott - Guitar, Kasim Sulton - Bass, John Miceli - Drums, Tom Brislen - Piano / Keyboards, Ray Anderson - Keyboards / Guitar, Pearl Aday - Backing Vocals
Track Listing: Dead Ringer For Love, I'd Do Anything For Love, I'd Lie For You, Home By Now / No Matter What, A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste, Paradise By The Dashboard Light BONUS:  "The View" TV Show 1999 Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad, I'd Do Anything For Love (cuts)

Meat Loaf Dusseldorf 99 Philipshalle, Dusseldorf, Germany 24/4/99 AU 10 3CD

Comments: Brilliant audience recording of an outstanding 2-and-half-hour show. with Meat clearly having a ball, messing around during the spoken intro

to "Two out of three..." and calling for the band to play and sing,  the great cover versions that take up most of disc three from the Rolling Stones, Eagles, and Joan Jett. even if the band aren't entirely sure, how they go!!!

Line Up: Meat Loaf - Vocals / Acoustic guitar, Patti Russo - Vocals, Damon La Scott - Guitar, Kasim Sulton - Bass, John Miceli - Drums, Tom Brislen - Piano / Keyboards, Ray Anderson - Keyboards / Guitar, Pearl Aday - Backing Vocals

Track Listing: CD1 Home By Now, No Matter What, /  Should Have Been Home By Now, Life Is A Lemon, Dead ringer For Love,  I'd Lie For You, (and that's the Truth), I'd Do Anything For Love, (but I won't do that), Lawyers Guns and Money CD2 Rock N Roll Dreams, Is Nothing Sacred, Paradise By The Dashboard Light, --encore break--, [Meat goes acoustic] / Sixteen Tons / Band Intros / Sixteen Tons (cont), Modern Girl (2 min tease), Midnight At The Lost And Found  CD3 Honkytonk Women, (Sung by the band), Oh Darling, (Patti Russo lead vocals), Heartache Tonight, I Love Rock N Roll, (Pearl Aday lead vocals), Hot Summer Night / Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad, You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Bat Out Of Hell,, --encore break--, Summertime Blues, Roll Over Beethoven

Meat Loaf Orchestral Rotterdam 01 Sportpaleis, Ahoy, Rotterdam, Netherlands 25/11/01 AU 9 CD
