The four part BBC special recorded live in the studio before a an audience with the regular cast members joined by different guest presenters and a full on stage orchestra to perform a mixture of solo and ensemble numbers from dozens of musicals both past and present. Along with backstage interviews with leading stars and behind the scenes people like Cameron McKintosh, Andrew Lloyd-Weber and Stephen Daldry to explain the background for the songs. Plus several West End Casts perform two numbers. |
